2017 FOCUS AREAS
There are three areas of focus :
Promoting Group Business:
HealthReturns
- HealthSaver as opposed to medical savings
- The value of HealthReturns and
- Promoting group business
- The HealthSaver remains a unique offering to Momentum Health clients
- The scheme announced their intentions to remove the savings element from the Incentive option with a view to member replacing it with HealthSaver in 2018
- It allows members to purchase the risk cover they require and then utelise the flexible HealthSaver to fund day to day requirements NEW – members may place positive HealthSaver balances into long term savings vehicles (more detail to be provided)
Promoting Group Business:
- Focused at employer groups, specifically with a view to promoting Momentum products
- If employers (that are on Momentum Health) offer additional products to staff e.g. employee benefits, Health4Me / OcsaCare, Multiply etc. they can qualify for GroupSaver. A new product into which premium savings are channeled and made available to the company Can be used to fund wellness days, subsidise premiums or withdraw 50% as cash
HealthReturns
- The HealthReturns programe has been enhanced for 2017 but only for members that actively engage
- Members qualifying for the maximum returns can now be paid up to R1000pm into their HealthSaver (previously R450).
- There are several points to note: Members must have a Healthy Heart score. This is determined by your health assessment results and smoking status and limits your returns: Red – max level 2 Orange – max level 4 Green – max level 5
- In 2016, members could get double HealthReturns by having the benefit paid into a HealthSaver account. This falls away in 2017. There are now only two tiers: Standard (normal returns with no boost) or Total (must be on Multiply Premier and have the HealthReturns paid into HealthSaver) further, your Multiply status now determines the level of savings you can qualify for
