About Bonitas

Bonitas has been in the business since 1982 and is the second largest open medical aid scheme in South Africa. Bonitas is considered financially stable with a global credit rating of AA+ and R9 billion in reserves. In 2016 Bonitas Medical Fund merged with Liberty Medical Scheme (LMS), a medical scheme service provider with more than 118 000 beneficiaries. After the merge, the company two companies continued under Bonitas' name.
