About Bonitas

Bonitas has been in the business since 1992. Bonitas is the second largest unrestricted medical aid provider in South Africa. Bonitas has a global credit rating of AA (updated from AA- in 2022). Liberty Medical Scheme (LMS) was a medical scheme service provider with more than 118 000 beneficiaries. In 2016 the company merged with the Bonitas Medical Fund and will continue under Bonitas’ name.​
