We are hiring a Healthcare Consultant/Business Development Manager for the SME sector in South Africa. This position is suited to an ambitious, target driven professional. The successful candidate will be given lots of space to develop health business.
Job description
· Generate your own leads
· Present to prospective SME employer groups in South Africa
· Prepare medical aid quotations and proposals
· Assist SME employers with developing medical aid subsidy policy and implementation strategy
· Assist SME employers with member communication
· Negotiate terms and conditions with medical aids and gap cover providers on behalf of employer groups
· New member sign-up and training
· Write up and distribute monthly medical aid newsletters
· Identify market opportunities for unique health insurance and gap cover products
· Resolve medical aid, Vitality and gap cover admin and claim queries
· Escalate unresolved, difficult matters within medical aid structures or ombudsman
· Regular visits of SME employer groups
· Attend major medical aid workshops and launches
· Annual medical aid review presentations to qualifying employer groups
· Flexible working hours
Requirements
Certified Financial Planner
5 - 10 years experience as healthcare / employee benefits consultant in SME/Corporate sector
Proven track record of business development
Passion for helping SMEs
Target driven
Self starter
Has own car
Valid drivers licence
Remuneration
Annual package R300,000 plus commissions, medical aid subsidy
The interview process includes a presentation by the candidate on medical aid /employee benefit services to a prospective employer group of 300 employees, 30 to 40 minutes, as well as a business plan.
